My name is Mykia Washington, and I'm a poet and artist currently working in Northern California to nourish a budding movement called "Talk About Flowers." This distinct movement calls for a paradigm shift as it relates to how we work together to achieve social change and justice in our local communities. 

 

Through collective artistic expression through community engagement, artists have the power to unify the collective voice of the community. "Talk About Flowers" aims to foster a network of passionate community serving artists, creators, and leaders of all ages, gender, color, socioeconomic status or religious and political affiliation. 

 

"Talk About Flowers" emphasizes the strength of telling raw personal testimonies and experiences which highlight self-transformation, wellness, justice, identity, freedom, acceptance, and love through the arts and community service. Together we hope to build safe spaces and creative outlets for ideas to flourish and thrive!

Life is full of intricacies and crystal jungles - it is a wilderness. We must actively support growth and development in all forms first for ourselves and then for others - together let us unite souls and heal humanity.
